Junior C Started in the early
80's as sound system selector (DJ) playing and doing dub plate specials
until he and (Mr. Steel) formed a group called SAPPHIRE &
STEEL.
Performing at most major shows local and in and around
Jamaica, they won the title for Jamaica pop and variety contest in
Manchester in the early 90's. During that time many cabaret performances
in within the hotel circuit and started doing recordings for Junior Reid
on the JR label, there first single titled "All begins With
You" did very well both in Jamaica and the U.K. They also did
recordings for Bulb Eye in the sly and Robbie stable.
SAPPHIRE then took a break and came to the UK and
after a few years began singing again changing his name to JUNIOR C
shortened for Junior Cassanova. He met and linked up with World Sound's
Bill Campbell and with proper direction and encourgement now hes's even
hotter than before. |
